Beauty from the Sea
Nature has a way of providing us with unmatched beauty. From sunrise to sunset nature displays several unequaled forms of beauty. The ocean has provided me with one form of beauty that I have chosen to work in. Collecting seashells at low tide following a storm provided me with a great hobby, I never expected it to turn into a business. To supplement my collection of seashells from Jupiter, Florida beaches we travel to Florida's west coast to Sanibel and Captiva Islands.
What began as private time collecting and cleaning seashells became therapeutic while taking care of my elderly parent and turned into a business. That is how ShellAbrations began.
It Begins Here
The creative process begins by selecting the color pallet and quality of shells. Large pieces are laid out and "dry fitted" which allows me to make several layouts of a particular project to satisfy my expectations of a finished item. I usually have a good idea before I begin a project what I want the piece to look like. Custom projects are usually initiated from Interior Designers and Interior Decorators.
